Got to the dealership Early. I was checked in quickly and caught a shuttle to work. They called when it was done. I caught a shuttle back, picked up the vehicle. All pretty seamless.

In general, it was good.

They got my car in to check the codes and had to order parts for it but when they got them they fixed it by the day they said I could pick it up. I have always taken my car in for general maintenance and have always been happy.

Excellent communication and the team finished the job when I was told it would be finished.

I lease my vehicle and pay 1300.00 a month for it. It was kept in the shop for over 2 weeks with no replacement. I had to rent the same vehicle I currently drive because I lease this size vehicle for a reason. I paid over 1800.00 to rent a vehicle while mine was waiting on a part. I will never lease another vehicle from this dealership again. Customer service and satisfaction need to become a thing again.

I have warranty work to be done on my C8 Corvette. On my first visit, the service guy I talked didn't know what to do and wouldn't even look at it. He sat and read the warranty, acted like I was trying to scam him, and told me it probably wasn't covered. I asked him to at least submit it. No. He took my name and said he'd call me. It was obvious he wouldn't. With no call over a day later, I went back. Another service guy found Adam for me. Adam brought out a lady to take photos and sent them to GM. She and Adam both said it was bad and predicted it would be approved, but they had to ask. Approved a few minutes later. Excellent end result after a rocky start. So the first guy wouldn't even look at it? Do better.

Everything went pretty well. With the new wiring harness for the back up camera. Shane was awesome. Kept me in touch with everything that was going on and did excellent work.

I was very happy with the quality of service received and coordinated by Ashley Patera. I was also pleased that Ashley approved matching pricing I had received from another dealership for the maintenance on my Silverado. I prefer getting maintenance on my Chevy truck at the Peterson dealership.

Since I bought a truck there back in July 2025, it has been a terrible experience and in the shop ever since. There is no customer service, follow ups all had to come from me reaching out. Andrew tried to do what was right and at least clean it for me, being I got it back dirty. No new car smell at all and so very disappointing. It was not cleaned very well and he even said he had to have them clean it twice. You are not holding up the standards of your brand. I don't feel confident to refer anyone to get a Chevy. My family will not purchase anymore Chevy's.

It takes WAY TOO long to get my car in for service. Also, I mentioned the problem with a seat belt warning with 2 other times I brought my car in to not have it addressed. Now I am at risk for having to pay for the service as my car is over 3 years old. I will be very unhappy if I receive a bill for it.

Started pretty rough with some lack of coordination about my appointment but David in service was fantastic turning it around. He found the parts that were needed for my appointment and set me up with a loaner car, which I was promised when the appointment was made but this request was not entered correctly in the system. So overall, David went the extra mile in a pretty cool matter to make me a happy Tahoe owner.

First of all, I'm very happy with the service received for the oil/filter change and tire rotation. While there, I asked for the drivers side mirror to be inspected since it was rattling every time while driving over a bump, wash board dirt road, etc. I was told there was nothing wrong with it and that the movement was normal. I have driven multiple GM vehicles over 35+ years and this does not represent the normal high quality, that I have grown accustomed to. Especially, not in a vehicle that only has 11K miles on it!

I got an oil change and it took almost 2 hours. I had an appointment at 11am but it still took that long. Also I ordered an undercarriage cover and come to find out that the bolts don't come with the cover so I had to buy new ones that cost around $120 and come back another day to put it on. Very disappointed.

The service department was the usual professional and pleasant part of Peterson. I recommend Peterson to anyone looking for excellent service and careful quality care for either vehicle.

I brought my car (2021 Bolt EV) in for service ("reduced propulsion" error). After nearly two months it was fixed. Turns out to have been a faulty coolant pump. Two months! No update to let me know how long it was going to take. No progress reports. Nothing. I have come to expect repairs on EVs to take longer than ICE cars. But this is absurd and unacceptable. It's the third time I have brought this car in for the "reduced propulsion" error and I'm seriously thinking of selling it (while it is functional) and buying a Tesla. Horrible product quality and horrible service. Otherwise, the dealership has been fine. No other complaints.

I got caught by the Halloween potluck so it took a bit longer than expected.

Had an appointment at 10 am dropped off at 8:30 am and they still never even got it looked at all day so I had to reschedule. Not an easy task when you are busy. When I went back to get my truck they had lost my keys and it took them an hour to find them so I could leave.

Diana and Garrett Scott made the transition very good.

Service transmission warning came on and the car left me stranded at an intersection. Charged $250 as a "diagnosis fee" that did not show the root cause of a bad 12V battery (dealership reported "no hardware problems"), which was later diagnosed and repaired by myself. Also, charged $220 for firmware updates, which presumably addressed software errors in programs written by Chevy.

Scheduled the service, arrived early, and still waited 2 hours for an oil change

Reviewed the tire recall and no action is necessary.

Peterson's always does a good job with servicing my vehicle. My complaint is the appointment situation. If you make an appointment, wouldn't you expect to get in on that time or close to it? I made three attempts on three different days. Each time I was told it would be at least a 3-4 hour wait. One appointment was made at 8:30 am because I was told I would have a better chance not waiting, even though an appointment was made! Needless to say, with an 8:30am appointment, I was there over 21/2 hours! This is ridiculous. Especially if you are a good customer and have purchased the lifetime service at the time you purchase the vehicle! Obviously, over booking and walk-ins are happening resulting in bumping people out with appointments. This problem that needs addressed. This happens regularly.

I actually found the truck. It is gorgeous and equipped way better than I deserve. Andrew Sivilay got me through the process, and while I know, I paid more than I intended, I got way more than I anticipated. I’m not disappointed in the least. Glad I looked.

Robert Petersen provided exceptional customer care, with both my 2023 Chevy Silverado 3500 and my wife's 2021 Tahoe premiere. Robert was always on top of things such as informing us exactly what the status of our vehicle was and what our options were. He was very responsive and easy to get a hold of. And most importantly he did what he said he was going to do in a timely manner in order to get our vehicles back to us in working conditions.

Booked an online appointment for Monday 12/1 at 9:30AM. My Tahoe had been making a squealing sound coming from the front of the engine. It sounded like a pulley or tensioner. On the Saturday 11/29, before our appointment, my wife was driving the car and the squealing got really bad. The car shook and shut off on her. Still to me, with my little bit of mechanical knowledge, this tracks with a pulley going out. I have it towed in to your dealership that day. On Monday around 10AM , I get a text from David the service advisor telling me they would try and get to my car, but they were closing early for a company event. On Tuesday I get a text with a repair estimate. The resolution to my main complaint was said to be throttle body issue. This was a surprise to me as the car had no symptoms of a throttle body issue. Then in the vehicle inspection portion of the estimate, I see as a third item that the technician noted the water pump was leaking. After many missed calls between David and I. I finally speak with him around 3:30PM on Tuesday. He tells me there is a check engine light on, the car is rough idling and that even if the water pump was fixed the car would still rough idle and not replacing the throttle body could lead to worse issues. I approve the water pump replacement and assure him that if the vehicle still rough idles after that I would have the throttle body replaced. The water pump is replaced and in my years of being in the car industry I’ve always recommended the thermostat be replaced as a preventative measure since the coolant is being drained anyways. David disagrees and says the thermostat is working fine. Well yeah it always works fine… until it doesn’t! Come on that is an easy upsell and easy way to add more money to the ticket. Fast forward to me picking up the car and David is at lunch. I am helped by the female service advisor in front of his desk. I have her come to the car with me so I can check for the rough idle. Well not only is the car not squealing, it’s also not rough idling and there is no check engine light on. The advisor plugs in the OBD 2 reader and we go to her desk. There is one historical code for an alternator issue and that is all she sees. I’m so annoyed by my experience I didnt even bring up the thermostat. I’m very disappointed. I had a pleasant experience when we brought my wife’s Tahoe in last time. I have two friends that work in the sales department, so I have every reason to go to the dealership. However I’m really thinking about posting my experience on Google reviews and social media. I’m a local business owner with a decent following of about 5k on my social media accounts. Worked with Diana and she was fabulous and very thorough, patient with our need to ask a billion questions and see every option available. She stayed late and had our best interest in mind with a happy heart and a smile. She was willing to run all of our options on paper so we knew transparently exactly what our final numbers were going to look like as well as the gentle nudge to purchase now before it’s not available. We are pleased with her and Jame’s help service. Andrew also did a great job with our trade-in as well as our finance guy was swift and efficient also willing to stay late to make it happen.

Outstanding response refitting the lm2 control valve in 1 day and an oil change.

A $6,800 repair, 2 1/2 weeks without our truck (witch is understandable considering the repair) however a week or so after the repair oil started to leak, back it goes for 10 days because of defective parts, and guess what, a short time later and there's another problem same repair. So far there has been no offer of fuel reimbursement, a loaner vehicle, nothing. The ball should not drop in our lap, this is the responsibility of the dealership. This is inexcusable! About a year ago we had the transmission worked on and again a defective part. We take our vehicles to the dealer because we believe that we can trust them.

Service is wonderful. Staff are friendly and social. Like the discounts. Prices for inserting air filters is ridiculous. It took me 15 minutes to replace air filters, cabin and engine, total cost $60 for filters and my time to install.

Bryan my tech yesterday was awesome as I did the walk in oil change service on my new Silverado 1500 Trail Boss. However, I had scheduled 3 appointments prior to yesterday all were confirmed only to be cancelled. I called the service department to find out what was going on, they "didn't" know. I asked if they had walk in service and on what days, they said they needed to get back to me. Very frustrating experience.

The work was performed timely and the entire experience, from my initial contact with the Accessories Department to the shuttle ride back to work, was outstanding. The normal scheduled check in was fine, but when I asked about my part for my other vehicle , no one knew anything about it. I have not received a call on when the part is in to schedule the replacement! Poor communication on parts department.

I had forgotten my service appt for 9:00am, I called the GM service dept and they rescheduled me for 1:00pm that same day. I was amazed at their gracious response. The service was timely, professional and friendly.

Had an appointment for my truck on January 12th, I couldn’t drive the truck so I hadn’t towed in. They got it looked at and fixed that day. Pretty efficient if you ask me!

I had a scheduled appointment for an oil change and it took almost 2 hrs.

Most of the service techs are great but after my hubby died last year I needed to get a replacement key for my chevy tahoe. I was expecting to pay a little over $300.00 but..... noone told me about the programming charge. So when I go to get my car the bill was over $500.00. Thank goodness I had my car in the week before for an oil change and had additional work done and had a 20% off coupon. So I asked your parts dept if I could have that on my key replacement even though I forgot to ask when my car was in the shop. He said yes. That at least tooki $100.00 off my bill. Now I know how this works but again being told ahead of time would have been nice to know. I had a great visit with service tech Deb. I do appreciate the work your guys do for me. Happy New Year!

My truck had its check engine light on due to some glow plugs needing replaced which was covered by the warranty. I had my fiancee take my truck in as I would be at work. Before leaving the truck at the dealership she made the comment that she would like the truck window looked at. I heard her on the phone tell the service tech that the seal in the window is not correct and would like it fixed. The paper work he then had her sign for $205 was for inspecting the window seal, which she had already told him that it was not in proper working function. After receiving the news since the dealership called me to confirm I wanted the window fixed I was upset that they took advantage of my fiancee when giving her the paperwork.

I was really disappointed in the customer service that I have received since owning my 2021 Chevy Silverado. Every time I have scheduled an appointment, I am stuck waiting for longer than I would expect an oil change and tire rotation to take. I also experienced power steering problems before my service was due and hoped to get my vehicle in quickly, as I only have the one vehicle and commute for work. I was left without a vehicle for 3 days and never heard from the service department after the 1st day it was there. I was told it would take 1 day and then it turned into 2 days, and then 3 days. It is my opinion that the service department is over booking appointments and only cares about making money over providing quality service and quick service too. It makes me extremely frustrated when I was in need of a quick diagnosis and repair and I couldn't be seen the day of. Slots should be left open for emergency purposes. I would be more than happy to be seen the day of an issue happening, even if it cost me a little extra money to have a technician look at my vehicle and potentially fix it too.

Very professional service from the sales staff, Stevie and Masson helped get me the Truck I needed and a great deal also. I was traveling from Wyoming to purchase and they had everything ready to go when I arrived for a quick transaction.

I recently moved to Idaho from Florida and always had my Chevrolet Equinox serviced at the dealership where I purchased my vehicle, Bob Steele Chevrolet. Needing an oil change, I made an appointment for January 30 and was assigned Bryan Kraft as my Express Advisor. Bryan is very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional while answering all my questions and suggesting a cooling system flush. He updated my vehicle service records and entered all my information. The only negative aspect was that the process took nearly 3 hours, but I understand this was an initial intake so some extra time was required along with the cooling system flush. I appreciate Bryan's help and will be returning to the dealership in the future.

It was refreshing to come in and not get the HARD sell that I have been used to in the past. (I hope I got everyone's name correct)

Staff was polite and courteous. The only suggestion I have is to expand your work station for customers. Every time I come in there and want to work while I wait I have a difficult time finding a seat at the work station. Often times it is being utilized by Peterson staff

Friendly service

Bought this Chevy 3500 in December of 2023. It’s had a trailer brake fault since the purchase 26 months ago. Towing a trailer with no trailer brakes for over two years and communicating to the service team the inoperability. The fix was just the switch rather than the module and it only took a few hours to diagnose and repair. I appreciate the teams effort in the repair, regret that it took two years to try.

The service guys are horrible. I was in the shop for nearly 3 hours for a simple oil change and swap out filters. And now, I have to go back because my heater is making a horrible noise- they obviously did not install the air filter correctly. It seems like every time I take my vehicle in the shop guys mess up on something. Such a disappointment and is seriously making us considering buying our vehicles from a different dealership.

Performed PICO test on L87 6.2 Liter motor and it passed the test. The fix for the cam shaft issues are changing to 0-40 motor oil (higher viscosity oil) putting on new oil cap and putting the notification in the owners manual. I was pleased to hear that the warranty is now 10 years or 150K miles. I will continue to have all work done at Peterson Chevrolet! Thank You.

was recommended to get a coolant flush so i did and now im having issues with my truck, low coolant light, and weird noises when shutting it off. they forgot to top off my def fluid and forgot to reset my fuel filter light. before all that i was texting a service member asking if i could come and get my truck serviced that same day he said yes i could come now, told him im on my way and he said ill see you soon when i got there which was only 10 minutes later i was told they cant do any more services that day even tho i was told to come on in over text, and turns out the service member i was texting wasn’t even working that day. very disappointed with the communication and the service of this place

I was taken care of professionally and on time. Peterson keep me informed as to the status of my car. the cost was within the budget estimate.

Easy process. Brandon was very efficient and professional and kept me updated on the progress of my appointment. Afterwards I always get an email thanking me for coming in and an apology from the manager saying he’s sorry he missed me and wants to know if I want to trade in my Tahoe for another vehicle. If he is serious he would talk to me when I’m there. Seems unworthy.

Your communication skills are non-existent. My wife sat in the lobby with a 6 month old baby for two hours waiting to get her pickup serviced. Every time she asked for a status, she was told they were working on it or something to that effect. If you guys can’t be honest with your customers, you shouldn’t be surprised when your customers leave and don’t come back, which is what we are going to do. If you are short handed and wait times are long and you haven’t trained your employees how to be honest, your customers don’t have the information they need to make a decision on wether to reschedule or sit and wait. Run your business however you want, but if you keep treating women in a way that makes them leave so upset they are crying, my guess is you won’t have any more issues with too many customers.

My last four trucks have been Ram and over the years there reliability and service has dropped dramatically. This is the first Chevy I have owned and so far the truck has been great. I brought the truck in for its first oil change and my service advisor Bryan was great he kept me informed and up to date with everything, not to mention it was probably the fastest turnaround for a service I have seen in many years. I was told I had to pay more after my extended warranty, said bolts were stripped and bent bracket , this is not true bracket was not bent also the bolts were not stripped , if they were your tech stripped the bolts and bent the bracket,

The driver Dick is the best. He is a great shuttle driver and is very friendly. He makes having not having a car for a while ok.

The total lack of communication was so frustrating! We made an appointment, after having a warning on our vehicle that stated."service vehicle soon" We were very clear about the reason for the appointment, however when we showed up for the scheduled appointment, we were informed that they had only scheduled us for a tire rotation, and we would have to come back and drop off the car the following week for the actual service we requested. We dropped our car off the following Monday and were told the required service should only take a day. By Tuesday evening we still had no idea what was happening with our car so we had to call your service department. We were told that the vehicle hadn't even been diagnosed yet and they had no idea how long it might take! We only have one vehicle and had several previously scheduled appointments so we called your dealership to inquire about a loaner, which was never provided. We ended up having to rent a car, which cost us more than $300 because the car rental company didn't have a GM vehicle so GM wouldn't reimburse our rental. It took your dealership almost two full weeks to FINALLY fix our vehicle and we learned when we picked it up, that the only thing that was performed was "A SOFTWARE UPDATE" ...are you kidding me? How incompetent are your service technicians? During the entire ordeal, we never had anyone reach out to us, until after we sent several requests for updates. Our requests for information were met with very rude and patronizing texts messages or no response at all. We have saved all of those text messages along with evidence of our communications trying to get some information about our vehicle. What was most shocking was the absolutely dishonest written documentation we received from your dealership about the vehicle service. In direct contradiction to the actual facts, your service technician wrote that, "the department tried to contact the customer multiple times, however no response was received"! That is a blatant lie! WE HAVE ALL THE TEXTS AND CALL RECORDS to prove how many times WE had to contact your dealership trying to get status updates. We will NEVER use Peterson for any future car service or purchasing and intend to make our experience known through all social media outlets we use. Noone should be treated so poorly after spending hard earned money on a vehicle purchase.

Great service

Paid for this same repair a year ago was told I had a 2 year warranty before I brought it in. Once I dropped it off was told it was only one year. When I dropped it off no battery issues, get it back had to replace the battery. Would have never brought it in if I didn’t think it was under warranty. 2nd time in a row I’ve had a negative experience, never coming back and would never recommend.

Ashley always takes care of me. She keeps me in the loop and gets right back to me if I have questions. I appreciate her very much.

I’ve brought my 2024 Silverado in with electrical problems numerous times, almost nothing has been done. I bought it in before this service because the radio would not turn off, one of a thousand times now, wouldn’t mute, or turn down, wouldn’t connect to my phone. I bought it in while this was happening and requested tech hook up to analyzier. No codes were shown. Service done no solution to electrical problem, again. I suggested replacing radio, that was met with a negative response. After being a loyal Petersons Chevrolet, Lexus, Cadillac customer for over 30 years I expect great service, I’m not getting it.

Truck was dropped off at scheduled time at the service department. Truck was serviced expeditiously. Was notified the truck was done and had an easy checkout.

This oil change and tire rotation took 2 hr 19 min...the previous: 3 hours... because my truck paperwork was "lost" -- not exactly great service. In the most recent case I noted my truck sitting in the exit lane for at least 40 minutes and when I asked, I was told that they didn't have the "paperwork" -- not good. It would seem that no one at Peterson is concerned about wasting their customers time.

Even though getting parts took longer than expected, she did a wonderful job keeping me informed. However, upon receiving my truck, there was mud all over the floor inside and grease/oil residue on the middle arm rest as well as the dash board and the carpeted portion of the floor boards.

I brought my truck in for service and to fix my windshield wiper washer nozzles. Got it home and the nozzles don’t work. But I was charged. Did nobody check the washer nozzles to see if the worked?

I went in for an oil change. Appreciate they got me in so quickly but then I spent 2.5 hours waiting on said oil change. That is a bit long for an oil change in my opinion. Very responsive and friendly.

I have been coming to Peterson since 2019 and the customer service has changed in bad way. April 9th when I brought my GMC in Bryan Kraft was my representative, he was not very interested in doing his job or following through on the status of my truck when I went and asked about after waiting close to 1.5 hours for an oil change. I had to ask him to get up from his chair and go check. As a customer I shouldn't have to do that. Bryan also did not text me like the others have in the past when I've dropped my truck off. Im not impressed with Petersons customer service anymore.

I live in McCall, Idaho. While in Boise shopping, my 2023 GMC Sierra 3500 10-speed transmission went into limp mode due to valve body failure. Peterson was the closest dealer to my location so I “limped” over there. Everyone at that dealership with whom I dealt was professional, courteous, and timely. My truck needed parts that were not on hand so they arranged for a rental vehicle so we could get home. The part came in a week later and our truck was repaired the next day. I couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks to Ashley, Sarah, and Grant for their outstanding customer service!

Parts have never arrived. Communication has been non existent. Problem has not been resolved, and no one is communicating where we are. TERRIBLE WAY TO CONDUCT BUSINESS!!

Your staff handled my truck well and the nice lady moving vehicles brought my truck to me when I came to pick it up. A nice touch you have added since last time I was in there when I had to search for my truck in the lot. Good job overall.

I am not sure if I will come back again. My cousin comes to this dealership and said I should. I think this is my third time. Service guy was not friendly. Treated me like I was bothering him. Was pushing services that I “needed” but last time I came I worked with another service guy and got done what was needed. I work from home and do not put a lot of miles on my car. After I paid, he said the keys were in the car and waved over toward the parking lot. I wondered the parking lot looking for my car and went back in and he thought it was funny that I had been out there looking for it. My car was in the bay behind another car. I had to ask someone to move it so I could leave. After this appointment I do not think I would recommend anyone to use your service department.
